The plant has flowered and the long awaited time for harvest has finally arrived. Drying cannabis is as important as growing, and drying rooms are a necessity for maximum impact.  After cutting down your marijuana plants, a proper dry and cure are crucial to increasing the potency of the cannabis flower while increasing shelf life.

The process of drying, trimming, and curing can take anywhere from days to six months and it varies depending on the cultivar, the drying and curing environment, and the specific methods.

It's important to avoid rushing the drying process by using high heat and low humidity, as this can degrade the cannabinoids and terpenes in the buds, affecting the overall quality of the strain. When curing cannabis, it should be done in a dark room that has a stable temperature (between 60-70°F) and humidity (between 50-65%) —dank, wet basements or hot, muggy attics are NOT ideal.
