High-Precision Cleanroom-Ready Single-Use Hand Protection

When Touch Sensitivity is Critical, Select TechniGlove® TGL900 and TGL1400 Class 100 Powder-Free Latex Gloves for Controlled Environments

TechniGlove TGL1400 (Class 100) 12-in Powder Free Latex Glove for Controlled Environments holding a lab containerIn the world of contamination-control, there is a shifting trend toward single-use nitrile gloves. However, many professionals in the Pharma-Biotech and Medical Device sectors know that for certain high-precision applications, nothing compares to the tactile sensitivity and comfort of natural rubber latex.

If you are struggling with extended lead times from vendors who have put latex production on the “back burner”, MDS Associates has just the solution. Through our partnership with TechniGlove® International, we are offering immediate delivery of technically advanced, single-use Class 100 cleanroom latex gloves.

Why TechniGlove® TGL Latex?

TechniGlove® silicone-free single-use TGL Class 100 Latex Gloves are specifically engineered from the highest-grade latex material available for environments where contamination-control and user precision are non-negotiable. They are dipped thin to ensure maximum dexterity and comfort during long shifts. TechniGlove's On-Line Chlorination process provides a consistent glove without the odor associated with latex gloves.

Performance Specifications

These gloves are designed to meet rigorous physical and technical standards:

  • Powder-Free: 100% powder-free to prevent environmental contamination.
  • High Elasticity: Boasts a minimum elongation of 700% before aging and 500% after aging.
  • Superior Strength: Features a minimum tensile strength of 19.0 MPa.
  • Cleanroom Ready: Particle levels are rated Class M3.5 (100), with fewer than 2,500 total particles/cm².
  • Textured Fingertips: Provides excellent grip control.
  • Low Protein: Tested at less than 50 ug/gram to minimize allergen exposure.
  • Silicone-Free
  • Packaging: Poly bagged dispensing prevents unwanted fiber particulates.

Chemical Resistance & Safety

The TGL  series of single-use cleanroom latex gloves provide a reliable and particulate-free barrier against various chemicals, including Citric Acid (10%), Formaldehyde, and Isopropyl Alcohol. While they are designed thin for dexterity - providing limited splash protection compared to heavy-weight gloves - they offer excellent performance for specialized lab and assembly work.

TechniGlove TGL900 9-1/2 in (Class 100) Powder Free Latex Gloves for Controlled Environments Comparison: Latex vs. Nitrile for Precision Lab Work

Choosing the right cleanroom glove often involves a trade-off between tactile feedback and durability. While nitrile is a common standard, latex remains the gold standard for high-precision applications.

  • Dexterity: Latex provides a second-skin fit that offers superior tactile feedback compared to the stiffer feel of nitrile.
  • Fatigue: The high elasticity (700% elongation) of latex reduces hand stress during long, intricate procedures.
  • Sustainability: Unlike synthetic nitrile, latex is a biodegradable material derived from renewable rubber trees.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What makes these gloves suitable for Class 100 cleanrooms? TechniGlove® TGL900 and TGL1400 latex gloves are manufactured for controlled environments. They maintain particle levels at less than 2,500 total particles/cm² (>0.5um), meeting the rigorous standards for Class M3.5 (100) environments.

2. Why are Pharma-Biotech end-users specifically requesting latex over nitrile? Many professionals in high-precision sectors prefer latex for its superior tactile sensitivity and fit. Latex offers a higher degree of elasticity and touch feedback, which is critical for delicate lab procedures and intricate assembly work where fine motor skills are paramount.

3. How do the TGL900 and TGL1400 series differ? The primary difference is the length and thickness. The +TGL 900 Series is 9.5-in long with a 5-mil thickness, while the +TGL 1400 Series offers extended protection at 12-in long and a 6-mil thickness.

4. Are these gloves safe for individuals with latex sensitivities? No. Because these gloves are made from natural rubber latex, they may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. However, they are tested to have low protein levels (less than 50 ug/gram) to help minimize the risk for non-allergic users.

5. Can these gloves be used for chemical handling? Yes, but with limitations. They offer excellent resistance to biological hazards and chemicals like Isopropyl Alcohol and Formaldehyde. However, because they are dipped thin for dexterity, they are intended for limited chemical splash protection rather than prolonged immersion.
