A transplant is an organ, tissue or a group of cells surgically removed from one person (the donor) and transplanted into another person (the recipient) or moved from one site to another in the same person by surgical transplants teams consisting of specialized surgeons, operating room clinicians and organ/tissue preservationists.

The invasive nature of surgery, with its increased exposure to blood, means that during surgery there is an elevated risk of transferring pathogens. Pathogens can be transferred through contact between surgical patients and the surgical team, resulting in post-operative or blood borne infections in patients or blood borne infections in the surgical team. When using sharp instruments and cutting tools, a laceration or cut on the hand can be a possible risk. During surgeries, these high performing cut-resistant medical knitted glove liners are often worn by surgical teams under their surgical gloves or they're layered between two pairs of surgical gloves as studies show they can help reduce perforations to the innermost glove thus reducing the potential risk of infection.

  • ++M102 Spec-Tec® Sterile Gloves are individually wrapped around tissue paper in a secure sterile pouch. These unique thin gloves are constructed with 100% HPPE fibers to provide excellent tactile sensitivity along with ANSI Abrasion Level 1 and ANSI Cut Level 1 protection.
  • M114 Spec-Tec® Stretch Gloves are constructed using high performance fibers blended with Lycra®, they provide good tactile sensitivity and ANSI Cut Level A2 protection. These gloves can be washed for up to 12 launderings without shrinking.
  • +M321 Scepter™ Sterile Antimicrobial Gloves are constructed with stainless steel and polyester antimicrobial fibers that eliminate bacterial growth while providing ANSI Cut Level A4 protection and moderate tactile sensitivity.
  • +M121 Scepter™ Non-Sterile Antimicrobial Medical Gloves are constructed with stainless steel and polyester antimicrobial fibers that eliminate bacterial growth while providing ANSI Cut Level A4 protection and moderate tactile sensitivity.

*Scepter (M321), Spec-Tec (M102), Spec-Tec Stretch (M104) feature an expiration date that appears above the lot number and provides a visual on when the glove should be used by.
