There is a new technology available for your foodservice packaging and catering disposables and it’s called Polyactic acid (PLA). PLA is a plastic substrate made from fermented plant starch (usually corn) and it is fast becoming a popular alternative to traditional petroleum based plastics. 

After use, these Vegware™ PLA portion cups can be given a new life as compost, since these cups are made of material certified to degrade within 12 weeks!  These 1-ounce Portion Cups are made with renewable plant-based PLA and can be used to sample or serve hot and cold food and liquids. Ideal for takeaway dressings, ketchup, liquids, mustard, gravy, dips, candy, nuts, jelly or more. Awesome for use as single-use tattoo ink cups, medicine cups, paint cups or shot glasses.  Perfect for takeout, delivery or to-go service!
