If there's one thing the pandemic impressed on society it is that covid testing will be the new normal. Ensuring the integrity of these test specimens is critical for accurate results and ultimately to reducing the spread.

For example, the CDC uses small sized desiccant packs to ensure that dried blood spot (DBS) cards are kept in dry conditions. This helps ensure sample quality when stored and shipped. They allow for validation of DBS used in COVID-19 FDA Emergency Use Authorization approved anti-body assays.
