There is a new technology available for your foodservice packaging and catering disposables and it’s called Polyactic acid (PLA). An eco-friendly plastic alternative, PLA is a plastic substrate made from fermented plant starch (usually corn) and it is fast becoming a popular alternative to traditional petroleum based plastics. 

After use, these Vegware™ 96-Series cold cup dome lids  can be given a new life as compost, since these cups are made of material certified to degrade within 12 weeks!  These dome lids are made from plant-based PLA.
