Updated Chemical Protection Information

The updated material continues to provide protection against more than 70 hazardous chemicals. However, the material did not pass penetration testing for the following chemicals and is not recommended for use where exposure to these substances may occur:

• Sulfuric Acid (93%) 
• Nitrobenzene 
• Dimethyl Formamide (DMF) 

AlphaTec® Reusable Chemical Protective Coats are designed for industrial applications that include hazardous chemical handling. Constructed with red polyester, the AlphaTec® coat incorporates a breathable membrane which contributes to less heat stress and all day comfort.  It also provides chemical splash protection against 70 different chemicals and can be washed and re-used over and over again. AlphaTec® chemical-splash-resistant PPE apparel is independently tested and certified according to NFPA 1992 (Liquid splash-protective clothing for hazardous materials emergencies), and for added splash protection, the seams are stitched and heat-sealed with thermally stable and chemically inert sewing thread. White polyester inner with breathable membrane and red polyester outer. This durable laminated fabric system is machine washable, ensuring longer use and cost-effectiveness.

Applications include:  chemical processing and handling, tank cleaning, dust exposures, food processing, hazmat work, metal plating, mining, petrochemicals and refining, power plants, pulp and paper production.

Combine AlphaTec® coats with matching bib overalls and optional detachable hood.
