Flash fires and arc flashes happen fast and can cause severe damage or even death. Specialized PPE is a first step to injury reduction in the workplace. These PIP® 40 Cal/cm2 Flame-Resistant Ultralight Ventilated PPE 4 Hood is made up of Ultralight 40 Cal/cm2 fabric and utilizes a new hybrid fabric technology to increase the durability of the garment in the field while decreasing its weight 37%. Ultralight garment uses a DuPont shell made of Protera® to provide its superior tensile strength, industrial wash resistance, and long-term durability. The inside layer consists of a Westex® Ultrasoft® interlock knit made of cotton and a high tenacity nylon. This hood meets the following standards: NFPA 70E-2012, ASTM F1506-10a, ASTM F2178-12 tests, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269.Made in USA.

The included ventilating unit and power pack are protected by a compact and durable ABS case covered by Ultralight fabric. Battery life lasts up to 6+ usable hours. Airflow: 35 cfm. Navy Blue color.
